Good Manners x Attique

                                                                     

I’ve always loved supporting and championing the incredible creative small brands out there, and have been a long time fan of Sophie’s work at Attique, so I was honoured when Sophie approached me to collaborate with Attique on an exclusive design run with her!

Versatility and wearability has always been important to me to be able to get the most wear out of our garments, so I wanted to design a set that could be worn in multiple ways across different occasions. The set we’ve designed can be worn as 2 separates -  the trousers perfect for pairing with trainers on the school run, the reversible waistcoat easy to chuck over any outfit to inject some colour and texture. Or you can wear the set together, tied up beautifully with heels to a wedding.

Colour is imperative to me, but I was conscious that it was a colour that you could never tire of. I decided on a beautiful classic cherry red, which is very on trend this season, whilst remaining timeless. The reversible chic mid-night blue is a match made in heaven.

I wanted the fabric to be really special, but also practical and functional. So we have worked closely with a hand-loom artisan, creating a super soft 100% cotton statement gingham, which feel luxurious and will stand the test of time. It was really important to me that these pieces last a long time, so all the sets are hand quilted and made in London with beautiful but durable French seams

We worked really closely with Karghewale in India to produce the fabric, which is a project that supports women and young artists in rural areas, and ensures that they are paid WELL, not just fairly.

It’s been an honour working with Sophie at Attique ensuring that our products are produced ethically and sustainably, whilst being able to provide an end product which is versatile, wearable and a timeless piece that will work hard in your wardrobe!
